Grinders has been producing heavy-duty boots for over 50 years, rooted in the skinhead and punk subcultures of the UK where owning one pair of boots meant those boots had to survive everything. Goodyear welted with reinforced stitching, steel toe caps on many styles, and commando soles built for grip and durability — Grinders are designed for people who wear their boots every day, in all conditions.
The brand hit its peak during the late 1980s and early 1990s when utility fashion moved from the street to the catwalk. Take That, East 17, Guns N' Roses, and The Prodigy all wore Grinders during this period. Today, the brand continues to serve the motorcycle, workwear, and alternative fashion markets with the same commitment to build quality.
BritBoot carries a wide range of Grinders styles including the Herald, King, Stag, and Attitude in various heights and finishes. For sizing, Grinders run broadly true to UK sizing but slightly wider than Solovair or Dr Martens. See our sizing guide for details.
